This study is evaluating the safety and efficacy of the “Qidni/D” device as a possible treatment for kidney failure. The participant is required to:
Complete one (1) phone screening session to determine initial eligibility
Complete one (1) virtual or in-person visit to go over the consent form, study details and answer any questions you may have
Participate in one (1) in-person dialysis session using a novel portable hemodialysis device for a duration of up to 4 hours that is similar to standard dialysis practice
The in-person session takes place in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Participants must be able to travel to the lab in order to participate.
Start Screening NowYour participation will help determine the safety and efficacy of a novel portable hemodialysis device. There is potential to change the accessibility and the future of dialysis care globally.
Globally, there are over 10 million patients who suffer from kidney disease every year without access to dialysis. Researchers have developed an investigational portable hemodialysis device that has the potential to significantly lower the requirement for clean water and infrastructure to perform dialysis, making dialysis fully accessible on a global scale.
I'd Love To HelpYou'll receive $250 in compensation for your contribution to renal disease research and you'll be reimbursed for your travel expenses.
Start Screening NowThis clinical study aims to assess the safety and effectiveness of an experimental portable dialysis device in treating kidney failure. The innovative device has the potential to revolutionize dialysis by reducing the need for clean water and infrastructure, enabling global accessibility. By participating in this study, you can contribute to enhancing the facilitation of dialysis and improving renal care for underserved individuals worldwide.
